About this opportunity
This Special Notice from the Department of Veterans Affairs announces the agency's intent to negotiate a single source contract with Carahsoft Technology Corp. for Nuance Dragon Medical One-Dictation Software and associated technical services and workflow configuration. The Edward Hines VA Medical Center requires Dragon Medical One to accommodate an end user with limited mobility by reducing typing and mouse usage.
Carahsoft Technology Corp is the sole authorized vendor for Nuance Dragon Medical hardware and software, so any services related to the Dragon Medical system must be purchased from Carahsoft. Interested parties were invited to submit capability statements by December 15, 2023 to argue they could meet requirements, though the decision to compete the procurement was at the government's sole discretion. If no responses were received, the contracting officer would proceed with negotiating the single source contract with Carahsoft Technology Corp. The contractor must provide workflow analysis, create necessary commands for Dragon Medical One, install the software, load commands, and train the end user over a period between December 18, 2023 and January 31, 2024.
