The contract requires personnel capable of providing radiologic support services that meet or exceed national standards, specifically adhering to American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) guidelines and technical standards. Contractors must provide certified technicians who can deliver comprehensive imaging services comparable to a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility. The government will evaluate quotes based on best value, with considerations including technical qualifications, past performance, and proposed personnel credentials. The solicitation was posted on November 15, 2024, with responses due by November 29, 2024, at 4:00 PM CST, leaving a relatively short window for potential bidders to prepare and submit their proposals.
The contract is designated as a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside, targeting small businesses owned by veterans with service-connected disabilities. The period of performance is from February 1, 2025, to January 31, 2026, requiring a minimum of four full-time equivalent Ultrasound Technicians with either ARRT Sonography or ARDMS AB/OB-GYN certification and a minimum of two years of experience. The total estimated annual cost for this contract is not to exceed $34 million, indicating a significant investment in medical imaging support services. Services will be performed on-site at the Atlanta VA Health Care System located at 1670 Clairmont Rd. in Decatur, Georgia. There is no indication of an incumbent contractor, with the solicitation noting that current tasks are being performed by on-call staff, suggesting this is a new requirement for dedicated on-site radiologic support personnel.
