About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19, Rocky Mountain Acquisition Center (RMAC) is seeking sources for a Drug Information Database for the Oklahoma City VA Medical Center. This pre-solicitation notice is classified under NAICS code 519290 for Web Search Portals and Information Services and represents a Request for Information (RFI) to identify potential vendors. Interested companies must submit a capability statement to Contract Specialist Michael Folsom by May 5, 2025, at 10:00 AM Central Time, including comprehensive company details, contact information, and business size status. The RFI requires respondents to provide information about their potential pricing models, which may include cost per reportable result, cost per test, reagent rental, equipment rental, or fixed monthly charges. While this is not a formal Request for Proposal (RFP), it is designed to help the VA understand the market capabilities for the proposed drug information database.

The solicitation does not have a specific set-aside designation and welcomes responses from various business types, including small businesses, disadvantaged businesses, HUBZone, woman-owned, and veteran-owned businesses. Vendors are asked to complete a detailed form addressing specific Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) market research questions, including details about domestic and foreign product percentages and subcontracting limitations. Small businesses, in particular, must provide additional information about their manufacturing capabilities, employee count, and ability to supply end items. The VA emphasizes that this is an information-gathering exercise and explicitly states that no payment will be made for submitted information. Respondents must include their Unique Entity ID (UEI) number and indicate whether they hold a GSA Federal Supply Schedule contract. The ultimate goal is to assess market readiness and potential vendor capabilities for a future solicitation for the drug information database project.
