About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 22 published this sole source justification for Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) healthcare services in Durango, Colorado. The procurement involves comprehensive outpatient healthcare services for Veterans, including primary care, mental health care, preventive care, chronic disease management, and minor procedures delivered both on-site and through telehealth. The VA justified the sole source award based on the need for continuity of critical healthcare services, as only Valor Healthcare Inc. possesses the existing infrastructure, trained personnel, and operational familiarity to provide immediate, uninterrupted service without operational delays. The contract was awarded to Valor Healthcare Inc. for $2,983,726.56 as a six-month bridge contract running from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026, with one additional six-month option. While the VA's market research identified 17 vendors nationally that could potentially perform CBOC services, this temporary sole source arrangement ensures no lapse in Veterans' healthcare services until a competitive long-term contract is awarded by May 1, 2026.
