About this opportunity
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is seeking quotations for a contract to provide support for underground coal mine workers. The contractor will be responsible for providing surge workers to support maintenance, research and development, and upgrading for future work in the mine. The period of performance is twelve months from the award date, with the option for additional hours based on available funds.
Services to be provided by the contractor:
- Provide underground coal mine worker support.
- Assist in the maintenance, research and development, and upgrading of the mine.
- Provide certified/qualified coal miners to assist the current federal mine staff.
- Assist in planned enhancements, clean-up, and disposal of excess items and equipment at the mine.

It is the offeror's responsibility to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. Clauses and provisions may be accessed via the Internet at website www.acquisition.gov.
To be eligible to receive an award resulting from this solicitation, contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management.
In accordance with the FAR 13.106-1(a)(2), offerors are notified that award will be made on the basis of lowest price, technically acceptable (LPTA). Technical acceptability is determined by conformance to the statement of work and other requirements, please see SF18. Offerors should include as much information as they determine to be necessary for the evaluator(s) to determine technical acceptability.
Offerors will be evaluated in accordance with FAR 13.106-2. A Firm-Fixed Price purchase order will be issued in writing to the successful offeror.
