About this opportunity
The U.S. Embassy in Mexico City cancelled RFQ 19MX5326Q0037 for preventive maintenance services on Anti-RAM vehicle barriers as of June 25, 2026. The Government determined the maintenance service requirement is no longer needed at this time.
The original solicitation, issued May 29 and posted June 11, had called for preventive maintenance on three RSSI Barriers, LLC Model RSS2000 anti-ram barriers at three sallyports (MCAP A0.303, MCAP A0.304, and SCAP A0.432) throughout a base year plus two optional 12-month extension periods. Place of performance was Mexico City. The RFQ was an unrestricted acquisition with no set-aside, evaluated on price as the determining factor after technical acceptability and responsibility determination per FAR 9.1 criteria.
Technical evaluation criteria included proof of at least three contracts completed within five years (two comparable in scope), organizational structure, technical capability, a safety plan addressing occupational health and safety requirements aligned to the more restrictive standard between U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Manual EM 385-1-1 and applicable Mexican industrial safety regulations, and licensing and legal authorization documentation. All maintenance personnel required security clearance approval, biometric data submission, and police clearance within 30 days of award. Work in Controlled-Access Areas and Post Communications Center areas required cleared American construction personnel. The contract was firm-fixed-price, with pricing accepted in U.S. dollars or Mexican pesos.
A site visit was scheduled for June 23, 2026, at 10:00 AM Mexico City time. Questions were due June 30 at 10:00 AM local time, with proposals originally due July 10 at 10:00 AM. Interested parties remain on the mailing list for future solicitations posted on SAM.gov.
