About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Air Systems Command seeks semi-annual preventative maintenance, calibration, and repair services for a Hazardous Gas Detection System at Fleet Readiness Center East, Cherry Point, North Carolina, with quotes due October 26, 2026 at 3:00 PM EST. This is a 100% women-owned small business (WOSB) set-aside under NAICS code 811310, with small business size standard of $12.5 million; only small business concerns will be accepted, and non-small business quotes will be rejected as nonresponsive.

Place of performance is Building 4225 at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, NC. Service visits occur during April and October between 6:30 AM and 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The system comprises 19 Drager Polytron 8200 HF gas sensors (to be replaced annually), four Quadgard control panels, and one HF retransmission loop. The contractor must provide all labor, travel expenses, and calibration gases with NIST traceability at 10% absolute accuracy or better; gases may not remain at the government facility. Personnel must demonstrate at least two years of documented experience servicing similar gas-detection systems and familiarity with manufacturer requirements and safety procedures.

The base year runs November 1, 2026 through October 31, 2027, with two unfunded option years extending through October 31, 2029. Line items include firm fixed price preventative maintenance (two visits per year for base and each option year) and unfunded optional repairs and parts with straight-time hourly rates for labor, parts, and travel to be negotiated. Evaluation prioritizes price, technical approach, and experience, in that order. If using subcontractors, the contractor must certify that no more than 50 percent of total contract value will be paid to subcontractors per FAR Clause 52.219-14. Amendment 0002, issued October 16, 2026, modified line items and extended the deadline from October 20 to October 26. Submit quotes via email to christine.w.butler2.civ@us.navy.mil using "Final Solicitation- N6852026Q10690002" file. No additional questions are being accepted.
