About this opportunity

Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory seeks 76 units of 325 MHz narrow-band bandpass filters (Item A) and 88 units of 650 MHz narrow-band bandpass filters (Item B) for the PIP-II Low-Level RF project, with proposals due June 11, 2026 at 5:00 PM Central Time. Proposals exceeding $10,000 must include completed SARC and PUR-466 forms.

Place of performance is Batavia, Illinois. The procurement is firm-fixed price, F.O.B. Fermilab, with Net 30 payment terms and freight included in quotations.

The 325 MHz filter must deliver 10 MHz nominal 3 dB bandwidth (9.5–10.5 MHz acceptable), insertion loss 1.8 dB maximum, passband ripple 1.0 dB, and VSWR 1.5:1. The 650 MHz filter must provide 13.5 MHz nominal equiripple usable bandwidth, insertion loss 1.5 dB maximum, and matching VSWR. Both filters require minimum 5 W CW average power handling, center frequency tuned and locked within 0.1%, SMA female connectors, metal RF-shielded housings, and out-of-band rejection equal to or better than 3-section and 5-section high-Q cavity designs respectively. Operating temperature range is −20°C to +50°C; storage is −40°C to +85°C. Suppliers must provide S-parameter plots, mechanical drawings, manufacturing lead times, acceptance test plans with Touchstone .s2p data format preferred, and compliance matrices. AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality systems and RoHS/REACH compliance with certificate of conformance are preferred. Shock/vibration qualification at 20 G half-sine and 10 G across 10 Hz to 2000 Hz is preferred.

Award is made on best value basis to the lowest-priced technically acceptable offeror deemed responsible, without discussions. The NAICS code is 334419, Other Electronic Component Manufacturing.
