About this opportunity
The National Institute of Standards and Technology seeks a Pfeiffer Vacuum A100 L Pump, Model Number A100L31324, with quotations due June 16, 2026 at 12:00 PM Eastern Time. This is a full and open competition for a commercial product under FAR Part 12.
Place of performance is NIST, 100 Bureau Drive, Building 220/B48, Gaithersburg, Maryland 20899. The pump must be new and an exact replica of the existing model to ensure compatible footprint, connections, and interchangeable parts across multiple dilution refrigerator systems used in quantum information science and electrical standards dissemination. Technical specifications include 100 m³/h pumping speed, 0.012 hPa ultimate pressure, DN50 ISO-KF input flange, DN25 ISO-KF output flange, 600 mm × 280 mm × 300 mm footprint, SPI 16-pin interface connection, and ½" NPT quick connect water connections. Used, remanufactured, experimental, prototype, custom, or gray market items are unacceptable.
Delivery is FOB Destination within twelve weeks after receipt of order, in original manufacturer packaging with complete documentation and software. The Government will conduct visual inspection and may perform vacuum pressure testing within seven days of receipt. The contractor shall provide a minimum one-year warranty post-acceptance. Payment is Net 30 days upon Government acceptance; advance payment and partial shipments are not authorized unless pre-approved by the Contracting Officer.
Quotations must be submitted electronically in three volumes: Technical Quotation demonstrating compliance with all minimum requirements; Price Quotation with firm-fixed pricing including all shipping costs and applicable tariffs; and Terms and Conditions with required representations. Pre-quote inquiries are due by June 6, 2026. Award will be made to the lowest-priced, technically acceptable offeror. Offerors proposing products manufactured outside the United States must separately identify country of origin and applicable tariff percentages.
