About this opportunity
The Department of State is seeking a fixed-price pest control service contract for the US Consulate General Compound located in the Mohammedia District of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The contract will comprehensively address pest management requirements, including indoor and outdoor control of rats, mice, cockroaches, ants, termites, woodboring beetles, and other arthropod pests within the property boundaries. Services will also encompass pest and fungi control for ornamental plants and structural protection, with the ability to conduct fogging upon request from the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). The contract will be structured as an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type with fixed service charges, which will cover all associated expenses including wages, overhead, materials, insurance, taxes, and profit. The solicitation was posted on December 1, 2024, with proposals due by January 30, 2025, and the initial contract period will be one year with four optional one-year extensions.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates there are no specific set-aside designations for this contract, meaning it is open to all qualified vendors in the Exterminating and Pest Control Services industry (NAICS 56171). The contract will be awarded with a fixed service charge mechanism that includes comprehensive coverage for pest management services across the entire consulate compound. The scope of work includes controlling both incidental and persistent pest populations, with specific attention to preventing damage to structural components and managing potentially hazardous pest environments. While no specific award value is detailed in the notice, the contract's one-year base period with four option years suggests a potential multi-year engagement. The contractor will be responsible for executing all pest control services in strict conformance with Department of State safety, health, and environmental policies, standards, and regulations.
