About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center at Robins Air Force Base is seeking contractors to produce Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) for the C-17 aircraft through a five-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The acquisition is a build-to-print procurement involving over 100 specialized aerospace maintenance tools, adapters, test sets, fixtures, and support equipment with specific National Stock Numbers (NSNs). Contractors must demonstrate capabilities in manufacturing, engineering services, technical data generation, quality assurance, and configuration management. Responses to the sources sought synopsis are due by close of business on April 7, 2025, and must be submitted via email to Procuring Contracting Officer Aliscia Pitts and Program Manager Laide McDonald. Potential bidders should provide detailed information about their business, manufacturing capabilities, commerciality, and technical expertise specific to C-17 support equipment production.
The contract has no specific set-aside designation, meaning both large and small businesses, including joint ventures and teaming arrangements, are encouraged to participate. The NAICS code for this opportunity is 336413 (Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing), with quantities ranging from 1 to 34 units per item across 99 unique PSE components. The acquisition strategy involves yearly procurement planning, with funding becoming available in the subsequent fiscal year and projected quantities varying based on Air Force needs. The government requires contractors to have a SECRET security clearance and comply with Department of Defense regulations, including quality assurance standards like ISO 9001 and AS9100. Deliveries will be made to a Boeing warehouse in Forest Park, GA, with the government reserving the right to visit contractor facilities and inspect items throughout the contract period. The total contract will span fiscal years 2025-2030, consisting of one base year and four option years.
