About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center is conducting market research on Pratt and Whitney tooling evaluation and repair services, with responses due November 4, 2026.
The Government seeks contractors capable of evaluating and performing remedial maintenance on 24 unique P&W support equipment and tooling part numbers (PWA 58307, PWA 58391, PWA 59158–59180, PWA 59182, and PWA 73605). Required capabilities include evaluation services, repair, hardware production and fabrication, PLC software programming, and certification that repairs comply with applicable technical data and original equipment manufacturer specifications. Respondents must demonstrate quality assurance processes including ISO 9001 and AS9100 certification, current business relationships with Pratt and Whitney, access to proprietary technical data, relevant approvals and certifications, repair experience, and inventory management processes.
Both large and small businesses are eligible; the Government encourages joint ventures and teaming arrangements. Respondents should identify areas suitable for small business set-asides and explain how they would overcome capability gaps through teaming or subcontracting. Contractors must submit a detailed Capability Survey in writing by close of business November 4, 2026, to Roger Farris (roger.farris.1@us.af.mil) and Sherry Harvey-Tuley (sherry.harvey-tuley@us.af.mil).
Security clearance requirements and the extent of foreign participation have not yet been determined. Participation in this market research does not guarantee participation in future solicitations or contract awards, and the Government will not reimburse response expenses.
