About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center is conducting market research to identify potential contractors for parts washers service at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia. The requirement involves providing comprehensive maintenance and service for 45 parts washers (24 government-owned and 21 leased) distributed across 20 facilities within the Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex (WR-ALC). Contractors must demonstrate expertise in handling specialized cleaning equipment, using proprietary fluids like PRF 680 Type II and MilSpec Calla 602 aqueous solutions, and maintaining strict environmental compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The evaluation will likely focus on past experience with similar projects, quality assurance processes, and the ability to meet complex technical and environmental requirements. Interested firms must submit their responses by March 21, 2025, with no specific security clearance requirement indicated.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designation, though small businesses are encouraged to participate and potentially form teaming arrangements. The current sole source contractor is Safety-Kleen Systems, Inc. of Norwell, Massachusetts. The contract will be structured as a five-year agreement, consisting of a base year and four option years, with the NAICS code 562211 for Hazardous Waste Treatment and Removal. The scope of work requires contractors to provide personnel, equipment, tools, materials, and supervision for cleaning and maintaining parts washers, with performance thresholds including no more than two consecutive unsatisfactory cleanings on the same equipment and no more than two unsatisfactory cleanings per 30-day period across all items. While specific award values are not disclosed, the comprehensive nature of the service and the number of machines suggest a significant contract opportunity for qualified vendors.
