About this opportunity
The Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center has issued Special Notice FA8125-26-Q-0024 for overhead door repair services at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma. This Special Notice amends the original solicitation by extending the proposal due date from January 27, 2026 to March 6, 2026 and modifying the competition status from a 100% small business set-aside to full and open competition. The amendment, effective February 25, 2026, maintains all other original terms and conditions of the solicitation without substantive changes to the work requirements. The contracting officer for this effort is Jason Shirazi at Air Force Materiel Command.
The objective of this Special Notice is to procure specialized overhead door repair services for a single 15-foot by 18-foot Cookson Brand roll-up door located in Building 9001 at Tinker AFB. The contractor must perform one-time repair work including replacement of three damaged slats, installation of a limit assembly, replacement of the bottom bar and seal, and restoration to full manufacturer specifications, with all work to be completed within five business days of parts receipt upon written authorization. All contractors—including small businesses, large businesses, and other eligible entities—may now compete for this contract opportunity, with proposals due by March 6, 2026 at 12:00 PM CST. Key requirements include designating an English-fluent contract manager, obtaining visitor passes at least seven business days before work begins, complying with comprehensive safety and security protocols including OSHA standards and base security training, and submitting a detailed service report within five business days of completion. The contractor is responsible for all costs except government-furnished utilities, workspace, and general security services.
