About this opportunity
The Indian Health Service Great Plains Area is soliciting registered nurse services for the Woodrow Wilson Keeble Memorial Health Care Center in Sisseton, South Dakota through a Request for Quote seeking three registered nurses to provide outpatient medical services. The procurement requires contractors to recruit, credential, and place registered nurses during acute staff shortages, with nurses working rotating shifts including 8 or 12-hour weekday shifts and 4-hour weekend shifts at the facility which operates Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 8:00pm and weekends from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Qualified registered nurses must hold current unrestricted nursing licenses, have passed the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX), possess at least one year of professional experience, and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. The solicitation has undergone two amendments, with Amendment 0001 incorporating correct provisions and clauses, and Amendment 0002 extending the closing date. Quotes are due by August 19, 2025, at 12:00 PM CDT, following the deadline extension from the original August 14, 2025 date.
This opportunity is designated as a 100% Indian Small Business Economic Enterprise (ISBEE) set-aside under NAICS code 621999 for All Other Miscellaneous Ambulatory Health Care Services. The contract structure is a firm-fixed price purchase order with a base period of six months beginning September 1, 2025, followed by nine consecutive six-month option periods, creating a potential total contract duration through August 31, 2030. The procurement specifically requires three registered nurses to provide non-personal medical services at the healthcare facility located in Sisseton, South Dakota. Contractors must complete an Indian Firm Representation Form and execute a Business Associate Agreement as part of their submission requirements. No incumbent contractor or specific award values are identified in the solicitation materials, though the multi-year option structure suggests a substantial long-term commitment to addressing staffing shortages at this Indian Health Service facility.
