About this opportunity

The US Coast Guard Sector New York is seeking temporary lodging services to support approximately 640 personnel participating in the SAIL 250 maritime event from June 24 through July 12, 2026. This pre-solicitation notice, issued by the Department of Homeland Security's US Coast Guard, is classified under NAICS code 721110 (Hotels except Casino Hotels and Motels) and PSC code V231 (Lodging, Hotel/Motel). Key requirements include providing accommodations across four locations—Staten Island (200 personnel), Sandy Hook, NJ (150 personnel), Bayonne, NJ (150 personnel), and Midtown Manhattan south of Central Park (140 personnel)—with all rooms meeting minimum 3-star hotel standards, private bathrooms, individual climate control, and ancillary services such as on-site parking, laundry facilities, daily housekeeping, and 24/7 front desk support. The government has issued this sources sought notice for market research purposes to identify potential contractors; evaluation criteria will likely focus on the contractor's technical capability, socioeconomic status, existing government contracts (such as GSA Schedule contracts), and rough order of magnitude pricing. The deadline for capability statements is February 13, 2026, with submissions to be directed to Rosalyn.a.wooling@uscg.mil.

This opportunity carries no set-aside designation and does not identify any current incumbents or incumbent contractors. The pre-solicitation notice does not provide a specific award value or budget range, though prospective contractors are required to submit a rough order of magnitude estimate as part of their capability statement. The contract encompasses the provision of approximately 315 double-occupancy rooms and 10 single-occupancy rooms across the four locations for a 19-day period, with the Coast Guard retaining the right to adjust room block numbers up to 15 days before the event with written approval from the Contracting Officer Representative. Following the market research phase, the Coast Guard may issue a formal solicitation through sam.gov or utilize a strategically-sourced acquisition vehicle; interested vendors should note that this sources sought notice does not obligate the government to proceed with a formal solicitation and all submissions become government property.
