About this opportunity
The Department of the Interior Bureau of Reclamation Lower Colorado Dams Office is seeking onsite tool and equipment calibration services for mechanical, electrical, and electronic instruments used at their facilities. The contractor must provide calibration services utilizing a self-contained mobile laboratory with qualified technicians performing work at two locations: Hoover Dam and Parker Dam. Services at Hoover Dam typically require five days of work, while Parker Dam services typically require one day annually. The work must be performed at times specified by the government, specifically coordinated with Hoover Engineering. Source sought responses are due by March 20, 2026, which represents an amendment to the original April 20, 2026 deadline. This pre-solicitation notice applies to contractors classified under NAICS 811210 (Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance) and PSC 6635 (Physical Properties Testing and Inspection).
This procurement carries no set-aside designation, meaning all eligible contractors may compete regardless of business size or ownership status. The notice does not identify any incumbent contractors or provide specific award value or budget range information. The contract will be awarded based on the contractor's ability to meet the qualification requirements for onsite calibration services, including possession of a mobile laboratory and access to qualified technicians capable of servicing the specified equipment types. The annual nature of the service requirement indicates this will likely be a recurring contract with potential for multiple-year awards. Additional contract details, evaluation criteria, and specific performance metrics are expected to be released when the full solicitation is posted following this pre-solicitation announcement period.
