About this opportunity
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), a civilian agency within the Department of the Treasury, issued a Request for Information (RFI) solicitation (2031JW26N00006) on January 29, 2026, seeking nationwide court reporting services for its Chief Counsel's Office Business Unit. This Special Notice is not a formal invitation for bids or proposals but rather an information-gathering tool to understand market capabilities and inform future procurement decisions. The RFI was amended on February 13, 2026, to extend the deadline and release answers to industry questions. The OCC will not pay for costs incurred by respondents in preparing submissions, and the agency makes no commitment to issue a formal solicitation or award a contract based on the information received.
The OCC is seeking comprehensive information on court reporting services encompassing digital court reporting, stenotype reporting, videography services, and virtual court reporting capabilities, with nationwide travel required across the continental United States and its territories to support legal and administrative proceedings. Respondents were required to submit questions by February 6, 2026, using the provided Q&A Worksheet, with final RFI responses due by 12:00 PM Eastern Time on February 20, 2026, sent via email to Matthew.Quinn@occ.treas.gov. There are no specific eligibility restrictions stated in the RFI; any qualified court reporting services provider may respond. The scope of work remains in draft format as final requirements are being redefined, with the Performance Work Statement available to guide respondent submissions. Key requirements clarified through the Q&A process include mandatory Section 508 compliance for all transcripts, automatic equipment approval upon contract award, and minimal requirements for paper or CD transcript delivery.
