This pre-solicitation notice seeks to identify potential sources for surgical and medical instrumentation, classified under NAICS code 339112 with a business size standard of 1,000 employees. The solicitation (W91YTZ25QA028) requires all contractors to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and focuses on obtaining medical equipment including USB/Serial cables, chargers, cords, and soft cases for each unit. Responses must be submitted by March 11, 2025, at 12:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, with point of contact Cynthia A. Richardson-Rhone available via email for potential inquiries. The government emphasizes that this notice is for information and planning purposes only, and no compensation will be provided for response preparation.
The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate a specific set-aside designation and appears to be targeting Charm Sciences Inc. as a potential sole-source provider. While no specific award value is mentioned, the procurement involves 10 Novalum-II-X system units with accompanying accessories, suggesting a focused and potentially moderate-value acquisition. The Product Service Code (PSC) for this procurement is 6515, which corresponds to medical and surgical instruments and equipment. Potential respondents should note that failing to respond to this notice does not disqualify them from participating in future Request for Quotation (RFQ), Invitation for Bid (IFB), or Request for Proposal (RFP) processes. Interested parties are encouraged to review the detailed requirements and prepare their responses accordingly, understanding that the government's primary objective is to assess market capabilities and potential sole-source justification.
