About this opportunity

The Department of the Army Michigan Army National Guard, specifically the 127th Wing, issued a Special Notice on January 13, 2026, announcing its intent to award a single-source contract to ABM Federal for Managed Printer Service and Supplies. This notice is informational in nature and informs the market of the government's decision to proceed with a limited source procurement rather than conducting a competitive solicitation. The 127th Wing justifies this approach under FAR 6.302-1(a)(iii) based on the need to maintain network integrity and leverage the existing operational expertise ABM Federal has developed with the wing's devices and locations. The procurement is categorized as a Total Small Business set-aside and falls under the IT and Telecom – End User as a Service category (PSC: DE10). This action represents a continuation of printer maintenance services following the completion of a four-year lease agreement with the current vendor.

The government's stated objective is to avoid the significant financial and operational overhead that would result from onboarding and transitioning to a new vendor, while capitalizing on ABM Federal's in-depth understanding of the 127th Wing's logistical needs across more than 40 buildings. Although this notice is not a formal request for offers and no competitive solicitation will be issued, the government will consider all information submitted in response to the notice for the purpose of evaluating whether to proceed with the single-source award or conduct a competitive procurement. The anticipated award date is on or about March 1, 2026, with a Request for Quote to be issued to ABM Federal. Contractors should note that the deadline for submissions in response to this notice is January 30, 2026. The final determination to award to a single source remains solely within the discretion of the government, and any submitted information will be evaluated exclusively for determining the path forward on this requirement.

This is not a request for capability statements, but the Government will consider all information submitted in response to this notice.
