About this opportunity
The Special Notice was published by the Department of the Air Force Reserve Command to announce their intent to sole-source the preventative maintenance and repair services for five Haas computer numerical control machines and one OMAX waterjet cutter located at the 911th Airlift Wing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Phillips Corporation Federal Division.
The Special Notice provides interested parties until March 1st to submit capability statements to be considered for the potential sole-source award, which is justified as Phillips is the exclusive distributor for the Haas and OMAX equipment. Eligible contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management and have the capability to perform annual preventative maintenance visits, emergency repairs, and technical support for all machines within 72 hours of a repair notification, as outlined in the attached statement of work and justification document. No other questions or submissions will be accepted past the March 1st deadline.
Notice text
The 911th Airlift Wing MXG Metals Fabrication Shop, Pittsburgh, PA has a requirement to establish a purchase order for five years (base + four option years) for annual preventative maintenance services for their Phillips HAAS CNC Machines and OMAX Waterjet Cutter by certified Phillips Federal Division service representatives. Market research has determined that Phillips Federal Division is the only source capable of providing the required services as they maintain all proprietary data rights to their equipment. Therefore, the government intends to procure these services on a sole source basis from Phillips Corporation Federal Division.
PER FAR 13.106(B), THIS REQUIREMENT IS SINGLE SOURCED TO PHILLIPS CORPORATION INC., FEDERAL DIVISION AS THEY ARE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE DISTRIBUTOR OF HAAS AND OMAX FOR UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT FACILITIES. NO OTHER DISSTRIBUTOR OR AGENT IS AUTHORIZED TO REPRESENT HAAS AND OMAX IN THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SPACE. SEE ATTACHED JUSTIFICATION.
