The notice pertains to CDC's participation in the HIMSS Global Conference Interoperability Showcase, scheduled for March 3-6, 2025. The conference is a significant event in the healthcare IT industry, attracting over 40,000 health IT professionals, clinicians, executives, and vendors worldwide. The CDC aims to leverage this platform to demonstrate standards-based systems and technologies that exchange data through various healthcare and public health use cases. The agency is pursuing this opportunity under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) for a Simplified Acquisition Procedure (SAP).
Contractors interested in this opportunity must submit their capabilities statement and pricing information to the Contracting Officer by January 9, 2025, at 1:00 PM ET. The submission should be emailed to Leyla Campbell at xuo3@cdc.gov and must not exceed 10 pages. All potential vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to contract award. While this is not a competitive quotation request, the CDC will review any submitted product, capabilities, and pricing information to determine if alternative qualified sources exist. If no affirmative responses are received within 15 days of the notice's issuance, the CDC intends to proceed with negotiations directly with HIMSS. The Interoperability Showcase will feature over 300 education programs, including keynotes, thought leader sessions, roundtable discussions, workshops, and preconference symposia, providing a comprehensive platform for healthcare IT innovation and networking.
