All replacement parts and fluids must be manufacturer-recommended or marine-grade equivalents, and the contractor is responsible for proper disposal of all materials in compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations. The government will evaluate contractor capability based on demonstrated ability to comply with all stated requirements, possession of a certified Caterpillar marine technician/mechanic, and proven jurisdiction to fulfill the requirements. Interested parties must submit organizational information, contact details, CAGE code, and a capabilities statement to Logan Champlin and Nairi Freeman by the March 22, 2026 deadline, with this notice not constituting a request for quotes but rather an invitation to express interest.

The work will be performed at the vessel's berth located at 2100 Bridgeway, Sausalito, California, during standard business hours (6 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays) within a 30-day period of performance. No specific award value or budget range is disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice. The contractor must submit an itemized quote detailing parts, labor, and other costs, and payment will be contingent upon successful completion of a sea trial conducted by a certified Caterpillar marine technician/mechanic that demonstrates no leaks, overheating, or other unsatisfactory performance. Work will proceed under government surveillance as determined by the Contracting Officer's Representative, with the contractor required to coordinate on Activity Hazard Analysis procedures and participate in daily pre-work safety meetings.
