The CDC intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order for annual equipment maintenance services covering the BLP 3900 and BLP Dr. Oligo 48 synthesizer systems. This procurement falls under the Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance NAICS category and specifically addresses medical equipment maintenance requirements. The agency plans to utilize sole source authority under FAR 13.106-1(b) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), indicating their intention to negotiate with only one contractor. The contracting officer for this opportunity is Jasmine Powell, and the notice was posted on September 2, 2025.
The primary purpose of this notice is to inform the contracting community of CDC's intent to proceed with a non-competitive procurement while providing an opportunity for other capable vendors to express interest. Interested parties have until 4:30 P.M. EST on September 8, 2025, to submit responses demonstrating their capability to fulfill the maintenance requirements. Any contractor interested in this opportunity must email their inquiry or capability statement to the contracting officer within the five-day response window. While this is not a formal request for competitive quotations, the government will consider all responses received within the deadline to determine whether competitive procurement is warranted. The CDC retains full discretion in deciding whether to proceed with the sole source award or transition to a competitive process based on the responses received. Information submitted will primarily be used to assess whether conducting a competitive procurement would be beneficial to the government.
