About this opportunity
The Navajo Area Indian Health Service, operating under the Department of Health and Human Services, issued a Notice of Intent to Award on March 10, 2026, concerning the procurement of the 2026 Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Hospital (CAMH). This special notice announces the agency's intention to award a non-competitive, firm-fixed-price contract to Joint Commission Resources, Inc. for hardcopy manuals with an estimated delivery date of April 9, 2026. The procurement is being conducted as a sole source acquisition under simplified acquisition threshold procedures, which permits non-competitive awards when only one source is reasonably capable of providing the required products or services. The Crownpoint Healthcare Facility in Crownpoint, New Mexico is the ordering activity for this contract.
Joint Commission Resources, Inc. qualifies as the sole source because it is the official and exclusive publisher designated by The Joint Commission to reproduce and distribute accreditation manuals and standards. Potential alternative sources have until 8:00 AM Mountain Standard Time on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, to submit a capability statement via email to Marshall Arviso, Contract Specialist, at marshall.arviso@ihs.gov to demonstrate their ability to fulfill the requirement. The Government reserves the right to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses received but is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of submissions or provide feedback to respondents. Only written submissions are acceptable; oral communications will not be considered. The Government's decision to proceed with the sole source award or initiate competitive procurement remains entirely at its discretion, and no solicitation will be issued regardless of the determination.
