About this opportunity
The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), Office of Force Protection, is seeking qualified automotive contractors to perform emergency vehicle upfits for police patrol and K9 transport vehicles at its St. Louis and Springfield, Virginia campuses. The procurement requires contractors with demonstrated expertise in installing and maintaining emergency lighting systems, sirens, radios, antennas, prisoner restraint barriers, gun mounts, consoles, and related equipment on SUVs and trucks. Qualified contractors must be classified under NAICS code 811121 (Automotive Body, Paint, and Interior Repair and Maintenance), possess a UEI number and CAGE code, and maintain active registration in the System for Award Management. The RFI requests that respondents detail their commercial and government experience within the last three years, current capabilities, recommended pricing methodology (FFP, FPIF, or CPIF), and any organizational conflicts of interest. Responses to this Request for Information are due by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on February 24, 2026, submitted via email to Kenneth.M.Lehrmann@nga.mil and Janet.D.Richards@nga.mil with the subject line "RFI Response."
This pre-solicitation notice carries no small business set-aside designation. The government has not identified any incumbent contractors or disclosed specific award values or budget ranges in the available documentation. The vehicle upfit work encompasses five categories including Operations Vehicles, Tactical Response Team Vehicles, Canine Vehicles, and specialized configurations for both St. Louis and Washington locations, though exact quantities are not specified in the RFI. Contractors should note that if their upfit facility is located outside a 30-mile radius of either NGA campus, they will be responsible for arranging and funding transportation of vehicles to and from their shops. The RFI is issued for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a commitment to contract or promise of a future solicitation, though it indicates NGA's intent to move forward with formalized procurement in this area.
