About this opportunity
The Department of Energy Office of Science, via the Alliance for Energy Innovation, LLC, is conducting market research on audio-visual professional services for the National Laboratory of the Rockies and intends to solicit a future contract, with a sources-sought response deadline of August 21, 2026 at 5:00 PM MDT. No set-aside is indicated at this stage, though responses will inform whether a small business set-aside applies to the resultant solicitation.
Place of performance spans five NLR campuses in Colorado, Washington DC, and Alaska. Respondents must maintain a Colorado office with local presence and capability to mobilize on 24-hour notice, travel to all five locations, and staff multiple concurrent AV projects including maintenance services.
Scope encompasses design, sales, fabrication, installation, maintenance, engineering, and project management of enterprise-scale AV systems: conference room audio and visual systems, video walls, 2D and 3D projection and display systems, audio reinforcement, digital signage, and Public Address technologies. Technical requirements mandate ADA compliance for conference room installations, adherence to TIA/EIA 568 standards for cabling infrastructure, and an Experience Modification Rate of 1.0 or less averaged over three years.
Preferred qualifications include certified Crestron Master Programmers, certified Project Management Professionals, and certified QSC Programmers dedicated to NLR projects. Respondents may require DOE Q Access Authorization and should detail classified AV installation experience. Responses must not exceed 10 pages in PDF format, address company information, capabilities, technical approach, labor-support pricing with Rough Order of Magnitude estimates, and subcontractor utilization. Submit to ASP.Responses@nlr.gov.
