About this file
This is a Sources Sought Notice (SSN) issued by the Alliance for Energy Innovation, LLC on behalf of the National Laboratory of the Rockies (NLR), a U.S. Department of Energy national laboratory. The SSN seeks market research information regarding audio-visual (AV) professional services including design, sales, fabrication, installation, maintenance, engineering, and project management of enterprise-scale AV systems. The scope includes conference room audio and visual systems, video walls, 2D and 3D projection and display systems, audio reinforcement, digital signage, and Public Address technologies for all five NLR campuses located in Colorado, Washington DC, and Alaska.
Respondents must possess a Colorado office with local presence and ability to support task orders with 24-hour notice, travel capability to five NLR campuses, and staffing to handle multiple concurrent AV projects with maintenance service. Preferred qualifications include certified Crestron Master Programmers, certified Project Management Professionals, and certified QSC Programmers dedicated to NLR projects, with potential DOE Q Access Authorization security clearance requirements and classified AV installation experience. Technical requirements mandate Americans with Disabilities Act compliance for conference room installations, adherence to TIA/EIA 568 standards for cabling infrastructure, and maintenance of an Experience Modification Rate of 1.0 or less averaged over three years. Responses must be submitted by August 21, 2026 at 5:00 PM MDT to ASP.Responses@nlr.gov in PDF format not exceeding 10 pages, addressing company information, capabilities and relevant experience, technical approach, labor support pricing with Rough Order of Magnitude estimates, video-wall sourcing experience, and subcontractor utilization. The NAICS code is 541512 Computer Systems Design Services, and responses may determine if a small business set-aside is appropriate for any resultant solicitation. This SSN is for market research purposes only and does not guarantee inclusion in any forthcoming RFP.
