About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to move and install furniture for the VBA VR&E Office in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. The solicitation requires a comprehensive technical approach demonstrating how the contractor will accomplish furniture pickup from Montgomery, AL, delivery, and installation at the new location. Evaluation will be based on two primary factors: technical approach and past performance, with contractors required to submit a preliminary schedule and up to three past performance projects completed within the last five years. The government will use an adjectival rating system to assess proposals, with ratings of either acceptable or unacceptable for each evaluation factor. Proposals must be submitted by December 13, 2024, and the contract will be awarded to the lowest-priced technically acceptable offer that meets all solicitation requirements.

The contract involves moving and installing a specific set of office furniture, including 20 guest chairs, 14 bariatric guest chairs, 23 employee task chairs, 12 electric sit/stand desks, 13 stationary desks, and one conference table. The project timeline is strict, requiring delivery within 5 days of award and assembly/installation within an additional 5 business days, with total project completion expected within 15 days of contract award. While the solicitation indicates no specific set-aside, the original RFQ was 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. The work will be performed at the VBA office in Fort Walton Beach, with services to be conducted during normal business hours (8:00am - 4:00pm CST). The procurement falls under NAICS code 238390 (Other Building Finishing Contractors) with a size standard of $19 million, and payment terms will be Net 30 upon satisfactory completion of services.
