About this opportunity
The National Institutes of Health National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) is procuring Illumina methylation and genotyping arrays for genomics research, with a pre-solicitation notice response deadline of July 13, 2026.
The procurement is a one-time purchase of three Infinium Methylation EPIC v2 kits (96-sample capacity each) and three Infinium Global Diversity Array -8 v1.0 kits (96-sample capacity each). The Center for Research on Genomics and Global Health will use these arrays to study gene methylation, genetic variations, and methylation quantitative traits in previously recruited study participants. The NHGRI Genomics Core, which possesses an Illumina iScan system, Illumina Autoloader, and Tecan Liquid Handling Robot for automated sample processing, holds the technical expertise and equipment necessary for processing.
Work is expected to be completed within one year from award. The procurement carries no set-aside. This is categorized under Research and Development in Biotechnology (NAICS 541714) and Drugs and Biologicals (PSC 6505). Requirements:
Purpose and Objectives:
This order is for methylation and genotyping arrays produced and manufactured by Illumina. The methylation beadchips are designed specifically for studying methylation changes across the genome while the genotyping arrays are designed for studying genetic variation across the genome. The Center for Research on Genomics and Global Health will use methylation beadchips and genotyping arrays to study gene methylation, genetic variations, and methylation quantitative traits in previously recruited participants. The methylation and genotypes will be generated by the NHGRI Genomics Core, which has the necessary equipment and expertise for efficient processing of Illumina SNP beadchips. The Core has an Illumina iScan, Illumina Autoloader, and a Tecan Liquid Handling Robot for automated processing of samples.
Period of Performance:
This is a one-time-use product, and the genotyping is expected to be completed within 1-year.
Contractor Requirements:
- The vendor shall provide:
- (3) Infinium Methylation EPIC v2 kits (96-sample kits)
- (3) Infinium Global Diversity Array -8 v1.0 Kit (96 samples)
