Update #1 ·
The U.S. Forest Service Arapaho & Roosevelt National Forests and Pawnee National Grassland have a requirement for spraying of conifer trees with the pesticide Carbaryl to prevent tree mortality by bark beetles. The awarded Contractor shall provide all expertise, labor, supervision, services, equipment, tools, supplies, permits, licenses, transportation, and incidentals necessary to perform spraying of conifers for which the desired outcome is in strict accordance with the standards specified and or described in consequent Task Orders issued under the base contract. The Forest Service anticipates award of one or more Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type, Firm Fixed Price Contracts as described in the Specifications. Multiple awards may result from this solicitation. Performance of individual tasks will be accomplished by the issuance of Task Orders against the IDIQ contract. The IDIQ contract will be awarded for one base year and four option years that may be exercised at the option of the Government. The annual period of performance will be specified in individual Task Orders, but generally will be from May 15 to June 30. Unless otherwise specified, spraying must be completed before the bark beetle brood completes their development and adult beetles emerge (usually July 15). Work will be located in various areas on the Arapaho Roosevelt National Forest and Pawnee National Grasslands including the Boulder Ranger District, Canyon Lakes Ragner District, Clear Creek Ranger District, and Sulphur Ranger District.
