About this opportunity

The Forest Service seeks a call order against the Rocky Mountain Restoration Project (R2 RMRP) Stewardship BPA for the Moose Run Stewardship Integrated Restoration Service Contract on the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests, Sulphur Ranger District, Colorado, with proposals due June 29, 2026. This procurement is restricted to companies previously approved and eligible for call orders under the R2 RMRP Stewardship BPA; the Forest Service will not evaluate or provide feedback to ineligible bidders.

Place of performance is Granby, Colorado. The contract encompasses approximately 96 acres across five geofenced cutting units: 53 acres of timber removal (Units 1, 2A, 2B, and 3) and 43 acres of mastication treatment (Units 4 and 5). Timber removal involves felling, processing, and hauling of live and dead lodgepole pine and dead Engelmann spruce sawtimber and non-sawtimber with an estimated volume of 433 CCF at a minimum acceptable offer price of $0.25 per CCF. Mastication requires treatment of lodgepole pine 4.9 inches DBH and smaller to 16 feet by 16 feet spacing, with resulting slash not exceeding 3 inches diameter and 4 feet length. The period of performance runs from date of award through January 31, 2028, with work to commence within 10 calendar days of Notice to Proceed. The NAICS code is 113310 (Logging), and the PSC code is F014 (Natural Resources/Conservation—Tree Thinning).

Evaluation prioritizes Technical Approach and Relevant Past Performance as significantly more important factors, followed by Utilization of Local Work Forces and Benefit to Local Community, then price. A mandatory pre-bid site visit is scheduled June 8, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Mountain Time at Fraser Valley Sports Complex. Amendment 1, issued June 16, 2026, revised the contract area map to remove a gate and monuments not physically present on the ground; bidders must acknowledge this amendment with their submission.
