About this opportunity

The Department of the Army National Guard's 105th Airlift Wing announced its intent to sole-source an award to Monaco Enterprises, Inc. for repairs to the base's existing fire alarm detection system, with a response deadline of August 25, 2026. Monaco holds proprietary rights to the system's hardware and software; the contracting activity determined that no other vendor can perform the required repairs and that replacing the entire system is not feasible. The estimated contract value is $93,739.65 as a firm fixed price award for Base Fire Alarm Reporting System Repair by Replacement, funded through Operations and Maintenance Air appropriations. The requirement stems from a currently non-functional system that presents high risk of personnel injury, death, and infrastructure damage. The 105th Civil Engineer Squadron Fire Department identified the criticality of restoring the detection system to protect Stewart Air National Guard Base infrastructure. The justification for other-than-full-and-open competition was approved under FAR 6.302-1 and 10 USC 3204(a)(1), establishing sole-source authority based on the existence of only one responsible source capable of satisfying agency requirements.
