About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Space Command anticipates solicitation of two industrial mobile aisle shelving systems, with a Sources Sought Notice response deadline of August 25, 2026, under Total Small Business set-aside.
The requirement covers removal of existing shelving and installation of new high-density mobile aisle shelving systems. Systems must be commercial-grade industrial shelving with maximum dimensions of 21 feet length, 12 feet width, and 9 feet height; adjustable shelves accommodating 15 to 36-inch item heights; and minimum 150 lbs. weight capacity per shelf tier. The systems must feature modular, surface-mounted track systems with flush floor-decking, manual mechanical-assist drive mechanisms, master locking capabilities to secure all carriages, mechanical aisle locks on each carriage, heavy-duty locking clips on shelves, and solid end panels. Delivery and complete installation must occur within 90 calendar days of award. Contractor personnel must comply with base security policies and obtain required security clearances.
Place of performance is at the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, 12th Field Investigations Squadron facility.
The Government's Sources Sought Notice solicits responses from small businesses, 8(a) firms, HUBZone businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned businesses, and women-owned small businesses. Interested vendors must submit Capability Statements including company profile, UEI number, CAGE code, business size status with applicable socio-economic designations, and technical capability descriptions. Responses to four specific questions regarding timeline feasibility, drive and locking mechanism availability, warranties and lifespan, and rough order of magnitude pricing are requested by August 25, 2026 at 1 PM MST, directed to 2d Lt Stephen Miller or 1st Lt Andrew Flamm. The formal solicitation is identified as FA2543SM003.
