Specifically, the project requires two left-hand door motors and one right-hand door motor, with strict requirements that the installed equipment must be fully operational and match the original design specifications. The solicitation (RFQ No. 140P8425Q0002) will evaluate potential contractors based on price, technical approach, relevant experience, and past performance, with technical and past performance being equally weighted against pricing. Written questions from potential bidders are due by June 13, 2025 at 5:00 pm Pacific Time, and complete quotation packages are required to be submitted by June 19, 2025. Eligible contractors must be classified under NAICS codes 236210 (Industrial Building Construction) or 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction).
The contract is designated as a total small business set-aside with a size standard of $45 million, targeting businesses capable of providing comprehensive door motor installation services. The project timeline spans from June 23, 2025 to July 31, 2025, with a firm-fixed-price purchase order anticipated using FAR Part 13 simplified acquisition procedures. Contractors must provide a one-year warranty covering all parts and labor, and guarantee full operational performance of the installed door systems. The work will be performed at the Minidoka National Historic Site's visitor center, with the contractor responsible for removing existing operators, installing new components, and ensuring complete functionality of the door mechanisms. Successful bidders must comply with Service Contract Act wage determinations, provide all necessary supervision, labor, equipment, and supplies, and adhere to local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
