About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Air Systems Command is procuring one brand name Generon 6800 CP Series Cabinet Enclosed Membrane Nitrogen Generator through solicitation N00421-26-Q-1049-0002. The procurement is a firm fixed-price, full and open competitive acquisition issued under FAR Parts 12 and 13 for commercial items. Key contract requirements include a membrane-type nitrogen generator capable of delivering 240 SCFM at 96% purity when supplied with 115 psig dry, unfiltered compressed air, with automated purity control adjustable from 96% to 99%, a minimum 10-year membrane life at 100% duty cycle, and a cabinet enclosure not exceeding 3 feet wide by 6 feet long by 10 feet high. The generator must include pre-filtration equipment, an automated inlet shutdown valve, purity assurance system, NEMA 4 control panel with local HMI, stainless steel piping, and forklift slots. Evaluation will be based on lowest price and technical acceptability, with vendors required to provide sufficient technical information to evaluate compliance with specifications. The response deadline is February 25, 2026 at 12:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, and all quotes must be submitted via email to Johnny.E.Smith.civ@us.navy.mil or Roberta.M.Nethercutt.civ@us.navy.mil. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to submission and must complete all required certifications including FAR 52.209-11, FAR 52.204-26, and FAR 52.212-3.
This is a non-set-aside procurement with no identified incumbent contractors mentioned in the solicitation documents. The specific award value or budget range is not disclosed in the available documents. The requirement is for a single unit with delivery required 12 weeks after contract award, scheduled to arrive by June 4, 2026 at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Propulsion Systems Evaluation Facility, 22229 Elmer Road, Building 2360, Patuxent River, Maryland 20670. The contractor must provide FOB Destination shipping and include a 12-month warranty from startup or 18-month warranty from delivery, whichever occurs first. The Navy explicitly clarified that no substitutions are permitted and that pressure swing technology nitrogen generators are not acceptable; only membrane-type technology meeting the brand name Generon specification will be considered for award.
