ACC-ANAD seeks qualified contractors to provide independent materials testing and analysis services supporting maintenance, repair, overhaul, and modernization of military vehicles and equipment at Anniston Army Depot. Required services include weld procedure qualification sample processing (tensile testing, bend testing, macroetch testing, hardness testing, Charpy V-notch testing, and chemical analysis per AWS, ASME, and military standards); non-destructive testing (visual, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, ultrasonic, radiographic, and eddy current) when ANAD equipment is unavailable; materials identification via optical emission spectroscopy, X-ray fluorescence, positive material identification, and microscopy; and general materials testing including hardness, tensile, impact, corrosion testing, plating analysis, microstructural analysis, and failure analysis for ferrous and non-ferrous metals, polymers, and coatings. All testing must comply with applicable military standards and industry best practices, with detailed written reports required for each request.

Contractors must maintain ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation or establish a quality management system under ISO 17025 or ISO 9001 alignment. An organized site visit is scheduled for May 11, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. CST (three working days' advance notice required). Questions are due May 14, 2026. Selected contractors must maintain active registration in sam.gov and the government invoicing system (PIEE) prior to award. Award is contingent on funds availability and successful negotiations; this notice does not obligate the Government or authorize performance commencement.
