About this opportunity

The Federal Aviation Administration is conducting a market survey to identify vendors capable of providing delivery and installation services for commercial refrigeration equipment. The procurement includes four Hoshizaki commercial refrigerators, one water/ice machine with equipment stand and filter, one freezer, and one breakroom refrigerator, with the FAA intending to make a single award to one vendor for all items without split awards. Interested vendors must submit capability statements detailing their services, previous contract experience, and years in business, along with any questions or comments regarding the specified equipment. The principal NAICS code is 423740 (Refrigeration Equipment and Supplies Merchant Wholesalers) with a size standard of 125 employees. All responses must be submitted electronically to jennifer.l.lucas@faa.gov by 5:00 PM CT on June 24, 2025, with the subject line "MARKET SURVEY RESPONSE: Commercial Refrigerators, Freezer and Breakroom Refrigerator."

This opportunity currently has no set-aside designation, though the FAA has not yet determined the nature of the competition and may decide to conduct a full and open competition or set aside all or part of the procurement for small businesses or SBA 8(a) certified firms. The solicitation does not identify any incumbent contractors or current service providers. No award values or budget ranges are specified in this pre-solicitation notice, as this is purely an informational market survey rather than a formal request for proposals. The equipment quantities are relatively small, totaling four commercial refrigerators, one water/ice machine system, one freezer, and one breakroom refrigerator, with all items being specific Hoshizaki models with detailed dimensional specifications provided. SBA 8(a) certified firms are required to submit copies of their certification letters if they choose to respond to this market survey.
