About this opportunity
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is conducting a market survey to assess vendor capabilities for procuring commercial refrigeration equipment, specifically seeking four commercial refrigerators, one water/ice machine, one commercial freezer, and one breakroom refrigerator. All equipment must be stainless steel with precise dimensional specifications. The purpose of this market survey is to solicit statements of interest from businesses of all sizes, with a particular focus on small businesses and 8(a) certified firms capable of providing these items. Responses must be submitted electronically by 5:00pm CST on March 14, 2025, to jennifer.l.lucas@faa.gov, with a required capability statement that details the firm's services, previous contract experience, and years in business. The FAA intends to make a single award to one vendor and will use the submitted information to develop its final acquisition strategy.
The market survey falls under NAICS code 423740 for Refrigeration Equipment and Supplies Merchant Wholesalers, with a size standard of 125 employees. At this stage, no specific set-aside has been definitively determined, though the FAA is considering full and open competition or potential set-aside options for small businesses or 8(a) certified firms. SBA 8(a) certified firms are required to submit their certification letter if applicable. The FAA emphasizes that this market survey is for informational purposes only and will not compensate vendors for submission costs or accept unsolicited proposals. Interested vendors should mark all submitted documents as proprietary and include a comprehensive capability statement that demonstrates their ability to meet the specific refrigeration equipment requirements detailed in the notice.
