About this opportunity

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is conducting a market survey to identify potential contractors for a roof drain leaders replacement project at the Seattle Air Route Traffic Control Center in Auburn, Washington. The agency seeks competent and qualified contractors to perform work including replacing existing roof drain lines, repairing ceilings, and completing associated project tasks. This market survey will help the FAA determine appropriate set-aside options for the procurement, specifically evaluating potential designations for Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Businesses (SEDB 8(a)), small businesses, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). Interested contractors must submit a capability statement with similar project experience and provide their unique entity identification number from SAM.gov by April 2, 2025. The market survey responses will be used for planning purposes and do not guarantee a subsequent contract award.

The project falls under NAICS code 238220 for Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors, which has a small business size standard of $19.0 Million. The estimated project value ranges between $500,000 and $1.0 Million, indicating a substantial infrastructure improvement initiative. Currently, no specific set-aside has been designated, and the FAA will use the market survey responses to assess potential competitive landscape and appropriate small business categorizations. Contractors interested in participating must email their responses directly to Cindi Tjelde at cindi.tjelde@faa.gov before the specified deadline. The project is part of the Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration Northwest Mountain Region procurement efforts and will support critical infrastructure maintenance at the Air Route Traffic Control Center.
