About this opportunity
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Middle East District is conducting a Sources Sought for marine crane procurement and installation at the Port of Aqaba, Jordan, with responses due by 1000 hours EDT on September 22, 2026. This is market research only; no contract will be awarded from this announcement.
The crane must have a maximum lift capacity of at least 150 metric tons and be capable of hoisting a 40-metric-ton vessel at a 12-meter radius. Equipment will operate at an existing pier with 220V/50 Hz power supply and must include supply, shipment, delivery, assembly, and testing.
The procurement is funded through Foreign Military Financing (FMS/FMF), which restricts eligibility to U.S. entities as prime contractors; joint ventures must have U.S. firm majority ownership exceeding 51 percent. No Offshore Procurement determination has been obtained, restricting work to U.S. sources unless subsequently approved. The contract will be awarded and paid in U.S. dollars.
NAICS code 333923 (Overhead Traveling Crane, Hoist, and Monorail System Manufacturing) and PSC codes 3950 and 3810 apply. Prior government contract work is not required to respond. Capability statements must not exceed 5 pages and should include firm contact information, CAGE Code, UEI number/SAM registration, teaming arrangements if applicable, capabilities documentation, and a rough order of magnitude cost breakdown for crane manufacture/supply, shipment, and on-site assembly/testing. A product brochure detailing technical specifications and lifting capacity charts is also required. ROM costs are for budgeting purposes only and are not binding.
Submit responses via email to Elena.N.Shapovalova@usace.army.mil and Eric.L.Caruso@usace.army.mil. No hard copies will be accepted.
