About this opportunity

The United States Marine Corps Logistics Command published a Special Notice seeking a logistics support integrator to develop and manage the remanufacture, overhaul, or repair of over 900 secondary reparable items across multiple locations. The items include engines, transmissions, drive train components, optics, and electronic components that support the readiness of critical end items for the Marine Corps.

The Special Notice aims to provide responsive and cost-effective supply chains for each secondary reparable item in order to increase component availability and reliability as a complement to existing depot maintenance capabilities. Contractors must meet or exceed performance standards for on-time delivery, notification of additional work requests, and response time for adding new items utilizing commercial repair activities. Eligible contractors must also attend an upcoming Industry Day on February 20, 2020 to learn more about the draft Performance Work Statement and requirements, and be registered in the SAM.gov system by February 14, 2020 to receive any future solicitation for this logistics integration support services opportunity.

Notice text

Logistics Command (LOGCOM) MARCORLOGCOM   is seeking a logistics support integrator with the capacity to develop and manage the remanufacture, overhaul or repair (ROR) of selected secondary reparable (SECREP) items.  The Logistics Integrated Support Services (LIS) Program directly supports the readiness of critical end items through the United States Marine Corps Secondary Repairable (SECREP) supply chain.  The retail SECREP inventory, which is located in more than eight geographical locations, consists of components of a larger end item for which repair is typically worthwhile considering the life expectancy of a repaired item versus the cost of new procurement.  The LIS program is designed to utilize commercial repair activities for the operating forces and standardize the enterprise-wide SECREP maintenance outsourcing process.  The purpose of this requirement is to provide responsive and cost effective supply chains for each SECREP in order to increase component availability and reliability as a complement/alternative to existing intermediate and depot maintenance and/or Inventory Control Point capabilities.  Contractor services are required to serve as an integrator responsible for managing the remanufacture, overhaul or repair (ROR) of over 900 different SECREPs including engines, transmissions, drive train components, optics and electronic components.
