About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center, through the 76th AMXG/567th, is procuring one portable resistive load bank to support equipment testing and evaluation operations. This equipment must meet precise technical specifications including a 230VAC line-to-neutral, 400VAC line-to-line, 3-phase, 400 Hz power rating with a minimum load capacity of 100 kW. The load bank must feature a 6-pin aircraft power receptacle compliant with Drawing LE409-0001 (with Anderson Airmotive part no. 3-498501 or ITT Cannon EA376 as suggested sources), incremental load switching capability in 10 kW or smaller steps, comprehensive metering and monitoring capabilities, E/F interlocking, thermal protection, and operational noise levels not exceeding 85 dB(A) per OSHA standards. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on February 2, 2026, with a response deadline of February 6, 2026, allowing potential contractors only four business days to submit questions or expressions of interest. Specific evaluation criteria have not been detailed in this pre-solicitation phase, though compliance with all stated technical specifications and regulatory requirements will be fundamental to any eventual solicitation.
No set-aside designation has been applied to this procurement, making it available to all eligible contractors regardless of small business status or other preference categories. The notice does not identify any incumbent contractors or current award values, though the procurement is classified under NAICS 335311 (Power, Distribution, and Specialty Transformer Manufacturing) and PSC 6150 (Miscellaneous Electric Power and Distribution Equipment). The acquisition involves a single unit purchase with no indication of options for additional quantities or future awards, and no specific timeline for contract performance or equipment delivery has been provided in the pre-solicitation notice.
