About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 9 is procuring replacement parts for LIKO 250 ES ceiling lifts at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center Community Living Center in Mountain Home, Tennessee. This brand-name-only solicitation seeks 22 replacement motors, wall chargers, and slingbars under a firm-fixed-price contract arrangement. The procurement requires contractors to provide installation services, weight testing, and a 10-year warranty on equipment that must meet specific performance standards including a 550-pound lifting capacity and compatibility with existing rail systems. Contractors must also deliver training, user manuals, and conduct inspections in accordance with VA patient safety guidelines and regulations. All quotes must be submitted electronically to jeannette.morphew@va.gov by 10:00 AM Central Time on August 20, 2025, and resellers or distributors must include OEM authorization documentation per VAAR 852.212-71.
This solicitation operates under full and open competition with no set-aside designations, allowing businesses of all sizes to participate. The estimated contract value is $100,621.40 for replacing ceiling lift components that are over 10 years old in the Community Living Center. The procurement specifically requires LIKO/Baxter/Hill-Rom brand components, as alternative universal motors would void existing system warranties according to the single source justification documentation. The government initially attempted this procurement through GSA eBuy as a small business set-aside but received no quotes, prompting the current open market approach. Performance will occur at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center Community Living Center in Mountain Home, Tennessee, where the contractor will replace existing ceiling lift motors while ensuring compliance with patient safety standards.
