About this opportunity
The Department of State Office of Acquisition Management is seeking light construction services through a multiple-award Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract for nationwide performance. The solicitation covers minor construction projects ranging from $50,000 to $3 million, including renovations, improvements, and building systems replacements across Department of State facilities. Contractors must demonstrate proficiency in various construction trades such as site preparation, concrete work, steel/masonry, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing, with potential design service requirements. Interested contractors must possess a Secret Facility Clearance and submit responses by January 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM Eastern, including a comprehensive company profile, relevant experience from the past five years, and technical capabilities. The evaluation will focus on contractors' ability to provide dependable and cost-effective construction services across different geographical zones.
The contract opportunity is not set aside for any specific designation, though it is limited to small businesses under NAICS code 236220 for Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The geographic scope encompasses over 7 million square feet in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area and 2 million square feet across 154 buildings, including DOS-owned, GSA-owned, and GSA-leased properties. The contract will be divided into four zones (1, 2, 3, and NCR), with contractors restricted to bidding on a single zone. Task orders will be issued as Firm Fixed Price contracts and will utilize a Performance-Based Services Acquisition strategy. While specific award values are not explicitly stated, the multiple-award IDIQ structure suggests potential for significant contract value across the nationwide service requirements.
