About this opportunity
The United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM) is seeking a Request for Information (RFI) for a mature, low-cost life cycle sustainment database to support Naval Special Warfare (NSW) armories and maintenance depots. The database must be capable of managing combat systems with comprehensive functionalities including CAC login, FIAR compliance, user access control, handheld scanner compatibility, and cloud enablement. Interested vendors must submit responses via email to Jackson Gabriel at jackson.t.gabriel.civ@socom.mil by February 24, 2025, at 1200 Eastern Time, with all questions to be submitted no later than February 19, 2025, at 1200 Eastern Time. The database solution is expected to have a technological readiness level of 7 or higher and support NSW armories managing between 5,000 to 29,000 serialized items. Potential vendors must demonstrate compliance with critical cybersecurity standards, including NIST SP 800-171 R2 and DFARS 252.204-7012.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designations for this opportunity, which falls under the NAICS category 518210 for Computing Infrastructure Providers, Data Processing, Web Hosting, and Related Services. While specific award values are not explicitly stated, the RFI suggests the database solution should be low-cost, with an implied budget of under $150,000 annually. The contract appears focused on developing a sophisticated database solution for tracking and managing armory inventory, maintenance records, and lifecycle sustainment metrics across NSW combat systems. The opportunity is structured as an information-gathering exercise to understand potential industry solutions before a formal solicitation, allowing vendors to demonstrate their capabilities and technological readiness. The PSC category of DA01 further emphasizes the focus on IT and telecom business application development support services.
