About this opportunity
The National Cancer Institute Center for Cancer Research, under HHS, intends to procure one LI-COR Odyssey M Chemi/Fluor Imaging Bundle Standard protein imaging system with a sources-sought response deadline of May 27, 2026. This is an open procurement with no set-aside.
Place of performance is the National Cancer Institute Center for Cancer Research. The system will replace outdated equipment and support ongoing and future intramural research projects across shared laboratory and division facilities.
The Odyssey M must meet specific technical requirements: imaging dimensions not exceeding 24 inches wide by 30 inches deep by 15 inches high; dual sets of Red/Green/Blue LEDs for illumination; fluorescence detection utilizing scientific CMOS line scanning; four solid-state laser diodes at 488 nm, 520 nm, 685 nm, and 785 nm wavelengths; laser lifetime minimum of 20,000 hours; dynamic range of at least six orders of magnitude; 5 to 100 mm scanning resolution; 16-bit floating TIFF output; sealed flat-bed scanning surface; and CCD-based luminescence detection as an option. The system must support fluorescent and colorimetric Western blots, immunocytochemistry, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays, protein and nucleic acid arrays, tissue section analysis, gel detection, and electrophoretic mobility shift assays.
The package includes Image Studio and LI-COR LAS acquisition software; Image Studio and Empiria Studio data analysis software; one year warranty; on-site installation; and remote training. Delivery and installation are required within 45 days of order receipt (FOB Destination with inside delivery). At least one day of on-site training for a minimum of 10 users must occur within two weeks of installation and is included in contract price.
The government anticipates issuing a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order. Responses submitted as capability statements (10 pages maximum, excluding cover and executive summary) must address each requirement separately and include company details, employee count, personnel qualifications, applicable GSA Schedule or GWAC contracts, Unique Entity ID, and DUNS number. Submit electronically to Shayna Simpson, Contract Specialist, at Shayna.simpson@hhs.gov by May 27, 2026, 1:00 PM Eastern Time.
