About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is conducting market research to procure a 100kW diesel generator for the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility in Bremerton, WA. The generator will serve as part of an emergency power supply system, with an expected runtime of less than 20 hours per calendar year. Interested companies must submit a notice of interest by January 21, 2025, detailing their business size, performance history, organizational capabilities, and technical specifications. The evaluation will focus on five key areas: business size classification, past performance record, organizational experience and controls, intent to propose, and technical documentation. Companies are required to submit their responses on company letterhead, limited to five pages, and address specific questions about their qualifications under NAICS code 532490.
The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate a specific set-aside designation for small businesses, though the small business size standard is defined as $40 million or less in average annual receipts. The diesel generator must be capable of providing 480VAC 3-phase power with a multi-voltage panel, integrated double-wall fuel tank, and NEMA 3R ISO enclosure. Contractors will be expected to provide 24/7 on-call technical support, conduct repairs within 48 hours, and deliver one hour of on-site training. The government emphasizes that this sources sought notice is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a formal Request for Proposal or commitment to future procurement.
