The scope of this project includes replacement of boat launch facilities at one
(1) developed campground (Camp 9); and four (4) recreation areas (Launch 19, Old Isabella, South Fork Recreation, and Tillie Creek Day Use Area) adjacent to Isabella Lake. Contractor to provide final drawings and design calculations for the boarding floats with gangways as specified in the specifications. Drawings and calculations shall be stamped by a California Registered Professional Engineer. Demolish and remove the existing aluminum boarding floats with gangways. Remove wire rope, concrete anchors, and associated hardware connections and install new wire rope, new concrete anchors, and associated hardware connections. The project may also include the installation of regulary, information, and other signs at each location. All five recreation sites are located on the Kern River Ranger District of the Sequoia National Forest.
The project includes the following activities:
Camp 9 Campground:
Install a new heavy-duty steel framed boarding float (80' X 8') with concrete panel decking, an aluminum gangway (16' X 5'), galvanized steel grab rails and recycled wood bumper material.
Launch 19/Main Dam Recreation Area:
Install a new heavy-duty steel framed boarding float (80' X 8') with concrete panel decking, an aluminum gangway (16' X 5'), galvanized steel grab rails and recycled wood bumper material.
Old Isabella Recreation Area:
Install two new heavy-duty steel framed boarding floats (80' X 8') with concrete panel decking, two aluminum gangways (16' X 5'), galvanized steel grab rails and recycled wood bumper material.
South Fork Recreation Area:
Install a new heavy-duty steel framed boarding float (80' X 8') with concrete panel decking, an aluminum gangway (16' X 5'), galvanized steel grab rails and recycled wood bumper material.
Tillie Creek Day Recreation Area:
Install a new heavy-duty steel framed boarding float (40' X 8') with concrete panel decking, an aluminum gangway (16' X 5'), galvanized steel grab rails and recycled wood bumper material.
A pre-bid tour will not be conducted. Potential offerors are highly encouraged to visit the site.
The price range of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000.
The estimated contract time is 60 calendar days. Estimated start work date is November 4, 2013.
Issue date is approximately September 6, 2013 with a closing date of approximately October 15, 2013.
This project is being issued unrestricted.
