About this opportunity
The National Transportation Safety Board seeks quotations for laboratory furniture to support its High-Bay Facility in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, with proposals due September 18, 2026. This is a total small business set-aside (NAICS 337127, 500-employee size standard), issued as a Request for Quotations under FAR subpart 12.6 for commercial products.
The procurement covers approximately 13 pieces of specialized laboratory furniture across seven line items: three exam workbenches with adjustable sit/stand height, LED lighting, and undersurface cabinets; one packaging workbench with overhead shelving and accessory brackets; two photo tables with fixed height and integrated cabinets; two mobile exam table options; one stereoscope table with adjustable height; one stereoscope workplace table with minimum 6-inch adjustable range; and one mobile laptop station with articulating arm support. All furniture must feature black epoxy worksurfaces, welded steel frames powder-coated light gray, 1,200-pound load capacity (except specialized tables), electric height adjustment of at least 12 inches with right-side control, eight-outlet 15A power bars, and LED daylight white lighting. Delivery is required within 90 days of award, by December 31, 2026, to 401 Prince George Boulevard, Suite F, Upper Marlboro, MD 20774-7430.
Evaluation weighs furniture specifications (technical compliance), past performance (based on at least two customer references submitted directly to the contracting officer), and price, with award to the responsible quoter offering best value. Amendment 9531BM26Q00280001, posted September 16, clarifies that all height-adjustable workstations require electric control, specifies bubble wrap bracket positioning, and addresses cabinet configuration standards. Quotations must be submitted in sealed two-volume format (technical and price sections) in Adobe PDF via email to matt.hazlinsky@ntsb.gov.
